Leland Webb, pioneer of global missions storytelling, dies at 91
RICHMOND, Va. (IMB) – A pioneer in advocating and sharing stories of God working around the world died Jan. 8, 2024. Leland Franklin Webb, 91, was a writer and editor at the International Mission Board for 32 years. While his name may not sound familiar to some, Webb helped change the face of modern Christian media. ‘We Believe’ project is a ‘touchstone that unites,’ SBU president says

In a Nov. 22 article published by the Associated Press (“Timekeepers no more, rank-and-file Jehovah’s Witnesses say goodbye to tracking proselytizing hours”), journalist Peter Smith reports an abrupt change in the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society’s practice of requiring its members to report their hours in door-to-door ministry. Baptist partners in Japan ready to respond to earthquake damage

It is reportedly the most serious and deadliest earthquake since those that hit the country in 2015 and 2016.
