The Executive Director Search Committee of the Baptist Convention of Iowa (BCI) has begun seeking candidates to fill the position of executive director/treasurer, which was left vacant by the retirement of Jimmy Barrentine in September of 2011. During this time the BCI has been led by Interim Director Thomas L. Law, III as the convention has undergone restructuring.

The Baptist Convention of Iowa began as an association of 25 churches in 1965. The state work grew to a Fellowship status in 1972 and became a state Convention in 1995. To date, 110 churches and/or missions are established in a multi-cultural state in urban and rural settings.

Advanced college and/or seminary degrees are desirable with experience in missions ministry/administration. A complete job description may be found at www.bciowa.org.

Resumes are now being received through Nov. 1. Interested candidates may submit resumes by email atbciexecresumes@gmail.com.
