JUNE 1: Pray that John Dryden (IN) will experience confidence and grace that comes with a close walk with the Father. Ask God to bless Rhonda Simon (MO) with joy and refreshment today. Thank the Lord for the faithfulness of Carol Barbour (ret. CESA) in passing on her love of missions to her most important mission field – her children.
JUNE 2: PR/VI: Pray for the preparations being made for Missionsfest in 2010. Ask the Lord to show Himself mighty in Vacation Bible Schools all across Missouri this summer so that children will be excited to live for Jesus.
JUNE 3: Pray that the Lord will continually direct Betty Sams (OH) as she meets the demands of her ministries. Thank God for all the lives that have been changed because of the witness of Ida Claiborne (ret. KS).
JUNE 4: Pray for safety and encouragement for Bruce Muskrat (SAM). // TJ: Pray for Christian businessmen to step into leadership roles in Shengyang and disciple other men through Bible studies and personal relationships.
JUNE 5: Ask the Lord to bless Steve Hagan (PacRim) with refreshment and strength while he is on stateside assignment. LES: Pray that God will soften the hearts of Basotho to hear the truth of His Word.
JUNE 6: PR/VI: Pray for the WMU leadership to find ways to share the joy of missions with new ladies this year.
JUNE 7: TJ: Pray for Christian teachers to come work at the schools so that the children will sense the aroma of Christ through them.
JUNE 8: Ask God to lead Brenda Lee (NE) to someone who needs to hear the Good News of Jesus today. Pray for new and exciting opportunities to share Christ for Donna Willcoxin (ret., NM.).
JUNE 9: Pray for people to see Jesus in Phil Brewster (ret., PacRim) and become Christians on fire for Him. Ask the Father to help Joyce Payton (MT) serve the Lord with gladness today and turn hearts toward Him. Thank God for the impact Peggy Smith (ret., IN) has had in her family and ministries.
JUNE 10: Ask the Lord to continue bringing those who need to know Jesus to the door of Richard Carter (ret., SAM). // LES: Pray for the people in the areas that the Flora family will live and witness.
JUNE 11: Ask God to protect and energize Billy Victor (MO) as he seeks to evangelize college students. // PR/VI: Pray that God will help Puerto Rican churches know how to reach young men in gangs and those involved in drugs with God’s redemptive love.
JUNE 12: TJ: Pray that Chen Chen (10), who cannot sit or stand, will receive the medical attention he needs and the hope that only Jesus Christ can give. // LES: Pray for Zachary Melvin as he prepares to begin a new learning adventure at Liberty University in Virginia.
JUNE 13: Praise God for the growth experienced by the Filadelfia Baptist Church in Craiova to which Bob Craig (CEEur) is ministering. Ask God to lead Galen Jones (GA) in every area of his ministries that Christ may have the preeminence. Pray for God’s guidance and decision-making at the MWMU Special Workers Meeting.
JUNE 14: Thank God for the faithful years of service of Sharon Whitaker (ret., OK) and Margaret Logan (ret., IL). //LES: Pray for Babs Dial to be blessed with moments of quiet as she balances her ministry with homeschooling Mohau and Daniel.
JUNE 15: PR/VI: Pray for the governor and others in authority to know Christ and to have wisdom to make decisions that will honor God in the Virgin Islands. Pray that God will be glorified and hearts will be changed at the many summer camps that will be held this summer.
JUNE 16: Pray that Betty Jo Hall (MAC) will find creative ways to reach the lost for Christ. Ask the Father to bless Bob Warner (ret., AZ) for the years of dedicated missions work.// TJ: Praise God for the wheelchair that was acquired for Tang Zhen, a young boy who was born without the ability to stand.
JUNE 17: LES: Pray for the new house church in Maputsoe and for local men to continue to lead it for God’s glory.
JUNE 18: Pray for Bill Affolter (ret., IL) to recognize hearts prepared by the Holy Spirit to hear the Word. //PR/VI: Pray that parents will rise up and take responsibility for their children.
JUNE 19: Pray for Loy Reed (FL) as he gets involved in summer missions activities. // TJ: Pray for Zu Bendi from Zhuang He as he battles a severe case of diabetes.
JUNE 20: Pray that many women will be refreshed and motivated to share the joy of missions with their churches at the National WMU Missions Celebration. Ask the Father to draw MK Noah Hamline (9, PacRim) into a personal relationship with Him that will continue to grow sweeter every day.
JUNE 21: Thank God for the blessing that MK Samuel Robertson (7, CESA) is to his family and ask Him to use him in a mighty way this year. //LES: Pray for Cindi and Tom Melvin as they build relationships with security guards and sometimes the King or Queen of Lesotho at the Maseru gym.
JUNE 22: PR/VI: Pray for Maritza Ocasio, former Prayer Coordinator of PR WMU, who has had many health issues this past year. Ask God to help those serving in the Last Frontier to experience Him in a very real and comforting way today.
JUNE 23: Ask God to bless Paul Weiblen (CESA) with strength and timely rest amidst his duties in sports and church planting ministries. Pray for God’s guidance and courage for all our Chaplains and Volunteers.
JUNE 24: TJ: Pray for families who are undergoing difficulties because of the economic conditions, and ask the Father to make Himself very real to them at this time.
JUNE 25: Ask God to equip VBS teachers this summer with lives that will truly reflect their love of the Savior to the children and their families. //LES: Ask God to bless the volunteer teams from VA, TX, and OK for teaching and evangelizing in Lesotho this month.
JUNE 26: PR/VI: Ask that training experiences be made available to help women become strong, faithful leaders in their churches and communities.
JUNE 27: Praise God for the spiritual growth that David Stow (CESA) is seeing in the men he is working with. Ask the Lord to make Darwin Payton (MT) a portrait of Jesus to someone today. Pray for Daniel Cookson (CA) to be strengthened by the Mighty Hand of God in his ministries. Ask that Loren Turnage (ret., WEur.) find new avenues of witnessing today.
JUNE 28: PR/VI: Ask God to touch many lives through the summer camps in PR this week. Pray a special blessing on the leaders from Missouri – Teri & Kevin Broeker, Lori Bohannon, and Beth Simer.
JUNE 29: Ask God to bless Linda Hess (MO) and equip her with creative ways to reach the lost in her circle of influence. Thank God for the faithful years of service of Glen Johnson (ret. SAM) and Wayne Wilcoxon (ret. NM).
JUNE 30: Pray that June Seat (ret. PacRim) will continue to shine the Light of the World to those who are around her. Ask the Lord to help MK Grace Bredbenner (4, SAM) learn how to love Jesus every day from her parent’s example.
