BIRMINGHAM – The Southern Baptist Convention’s annual meeting drew 8,091 messengers to Birmingham June 11-12, including 263 from Missouri’s Baptist churches – the 11th largest delegation. Supreme Court issues major religious liberty win
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Supreme Court ruled June 20 a 40-foot cross on public land that serves as a memorial to World War I soldiers does not violate the First Amendment's prohibition against a government establishment of religion.
