By now you’ve undoubtedly heard about the horrific video of Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice knocking his then-fiancée unconscious inside a casino elevator. FERGUSON – When the National Day of Prayer (NDP) bus stopped at First Baptist Church Ferguson Sept. 13, the prayer warriors moved beyond their planned emphasis and prayed for unity. MBTS enrollment increases for fall semester
KANSAS CITY – Amidst the excitement of the start of a new academic year at Midwestern Seminary President Jason Allen announced the encouraging news on Sept. 22 that more students have enrolled at the school this Fall Semester than any other in school history. Enrollment up at SBU Bolivar campus
Classes started Monday, Aug. 25, at Southwest Baptist University with an increase in new students, average ACT score and number of students living in on-campus housing. Total enrollment on the first day of classes was 1,507, including 430 freshmen. The freshman class’s average ACT score of 23.6 is an increase from last year and nearly a one-point increase from two years ago. Baptist State Fair Tent nets 54 decisions for Christ
SEDALIA – About 1,300 State Fair attenders looking for corn dogs, carnival rides and deals on snazzy merchandise stopped by the Missouri Baptist tent located near the fair’s midway. They had the opportunity to step inside the tent and register for a free 50-inch TV and blue ray entertainment unit. Well, it was almost free.
