JEFFERSON CITY — Due to restructuring, the Missouri Baptist Convention (MBC) Executive Board honored two staffers.
Bob Loggins, MBC prayer and spiritual awakening specialist, and Rick Seaton, MBC men’s ministry and Disaster Relief coordinator, are leaving the convention staff. Loggins, who began with the MBC in June 2008, will serve through May 31. Seaton, who started with the MBC in February 2008, served through April 11.
For the 2012 budget, Loggins and Seaton were in a newly created group of eight fully funded MBC employees who previously had been funded half by the MBC and half by the North American Mission Board (NAMB). Of that group going into the 2013 budget, four remain: Jeff Carson, collegiate ministry specialist; Jerry Field, support services team leader; David Hendrick, collegiate ministry regional coordinator; and Bill Victor, collegiate ministry regional coordinator.
Loggins and Seaton were honored at a reception where Executive Board members and MBC staffers formed long lines to offer hugs and best wishes. The reception followed their introdutions to the Executive Board where their contributions were highlighted. Yeats presented both with new Bibles, and they received a standing ovation from the MBC Executive Board during its April 10 meeting at the Baptist Building.
“These are good brothers,” Yeats said. “They are great men of God. These brothers have accomplished much in the kingdom.”
